Carrie Fisher opens up about Harrison Ford affair
Harrison Ford has finally broken his silence on Carrie Fisher's affair revelations.
The late actress, who passed away just after Christmas last year, revealed she had an "intense" affair with her Star Wars co-star.
Carrie was just 19 at the time, while the Hollywood actor was a then 33-year-old married father-of-two. The pair were filming the first Star Wars in 1976 when the affair took place.
The Blade Runner actor, who had previously remained tight-lipped about his co-star's memoir titled The Princess Diarist, was quizzed about the bombshell in an interview with GQ this week.
Ford has broken his silence 10 months later
“It was strange. For me,” he told the magazine.
Pressed, the actor was asked if he was warned that Carrie would mention him in the book.
"Um, to a degree. Yes," the 75-year-old replied.

When quizzed about how he felt about being included, the star shared: “Oh, I don’t know. I don’t know. You know, with Carrie’s untimely passing, I don’t really feel that it’s a subject that I want to discuss.”
He added that the affair was also not a subject he wanted to broach.

And when asked if he had read the book, he simply replied: “No. I didn’t.”
Last year, Carrie told People magazine that their affair was "so intense".
“It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend," she added.

The co-stars' brief romance came to an end when filming wrapped, but she remembered it fondly in her memoir.
She said she found him "really handsome" while she was sexually "inexperienced".
The affair took place during the filming of the first movie from the sci-fi franchise
“I was so inexperienced, but I trusted something about him. He was kind," she wrote.
The actor's marriage to Mary Marquardt came to an end in 1979, though Carrie insisted it was "for reasons having nothing whatsoever to do with me".
When promoting the memoir, Carrie admitted she gave her co-star a warning, sharing: "I said, 'I found the journals that I kept during the first movie, and I'm probably going to publish them.
Carrie died aged 60 on 27 December following four days in intensive care
"And he just sort of raised his finger and said, 'Lawyer!' Then I said, 'No, I won't write anything that you don't want.
"I mean, I'll show it to you before and you can take anything out that you want taken out. I don't want to make you uncomfortable' - which I, of course, have. Unduly uncomfortable."
