SPORTS: Barcelona and Real Madrid set for transfer tug-of-war over Tottenham's Dele Alli

Barcelona are ready to battle arch-rivals Real Madrid for Tottenham sensation Dele Alli.
Midfielder Alli has emerged as one of the hottest young players in world football, and the Nou Camp giants have pu
t him top of their wanted list.
But the England international, who has scored seven goals in his last four games, is also attracting interest from Barca’s bitter La Liga rivals Real Madrid.
The Spanish sides would have to cough up at least £70million if Spurs do cash in on the 20-year-old, who only cost them £5m when he signed from MK Dons in February 2015.
Dele Alli was always destined for stardom, says Villa boss Steve Bruce
Alli has enjoyed a meteoric rise from League One player to international footballer and is only in his second season in the top flight.
In his first full campaign in the Premier League, his form was so impressive that he was given a call-up for the full England squad by manager Roy Hodgson.
It was his twin strike that ended Chelsea’s 13-match winning run last week, two headed goals confirming his return to his best form after the European Championship failure.
News of Real’s interest last week prompted Spurs to insist Alli is not for sale at any price.
But the club are involved in a £750m redevelopment of their White Hart Lane stadium - and Barca and Real have a history of landing their targets when they set their minds to it.
Real persuaded Spurs to sell two prize assets in successive summers in Luka Modric for £30m in 2012 and then Gareth Bale in a world-record £85.3m deal.
The Bernabeu club are banned from signing players in this transfer window, but will make a serious move for Alli in the summer.
